Making Green Work
At Bio-Circle, we are committed to “Making green work”. Our purpose is to contribute to our customer’s success by helping them work better. With the growing concern and legislation over health and environmental issues, businesses today are seeking new, cost-effective solutions to reduce emissions of VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds) and other environmental toxins without compromising on the productivity of their operations.
With the Bio-Circle Environmental Solutions’ product line, our company’s mission is to contribute to our customer’s success by improving worker health and safety conditions, protecting the environment by replacing VOC-emitting solvents by VOC-free products, and by reducing waste and operating costs while increasing productivity.
Leading by example
As we all know, the world’s future is dependent on a new vision, one based on leaner and smarter ways of using resources. Not only are we educating the industrial workplaces in adopting the best environmental practices, but we also apply these principles to our own conduct.
Our new International headquarters in Pointe-Claire, Quebec, Canada was built according to strict LEED Certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Green Building Rating System) and inaugurated in October 2010. Furthermore, we are continuously striving to reduce waste in all of our work processes, from geothermal temperature control to the use of office paper products from sustainably managed forests.
Commitment to sustainability through constant innovation
Continuous research and development efforts have enabled Walter Surface Technologies to launch its new line of Bio-Circle Environmental Solutions which provides companies with sustainable tools they can easily integrate into their treatment activities.
We have earned prestigious International awards and certifications including: American Eagle Award, Environmental Choice Program “Eco-Logo” (USA), CleanTech’s Cleaning Technology Award (USA), Deutscher Material Effizienz Preiz (Germany), Nord Rhein Westphalien (NRW) Effizienz Preiz (Germany) and recognition by The Wall Street Journal’s Technology Innovation Awards (USA), among many others.
In less than 6 years, we have already been able to eliminate over 10,000 solvent tubs from daily use in a variety of industrial maintenance settings. This means that approximately 50,000 workers are no longer exposed to dangerous solvents on a daily basis and that between 300,000 to 550,000 gallons of solvents have been removed from the workplace and taken out of the industrial waste stream. These represent between 2 to 4 million pounds of VOCs completely eliminated from the face of the earth!
